Rinky Dink

jeff crouch

lazy boy lawnchair patched pretty as a pirate
nature broken down Christmas ornament
Scotch-taped hook atop the world’s oldest
mountain cloud drifting limp with mudslide
Sunday a toilet erupts wet with sky a tissue
thin ash lipstick packed her bloated mirror
locked the door while towels soak make-up
pout while a dog shaking its pup its legs loose
with extra gut after birth lost stomach healthy
child nursed well rigged deal says I’m out holding
liquor cashed in hand off hang on to something
fixed the door with paper folded up save your butt
this gift nothing more than sample carpet spills
your diet pills make you yo-yo moonshine so
your operation failed sorry sick with worry
my spot in the living room taken with tree
an overloaded circuit short what’s the hurry
I’m sitting chewing itchy plastic pine watching
TV really how’s the baby really I must get
a plunger for the plumbing hold the handle
down when flushing yes this week I’m sort of
