| Artist Statement: I'm a self-taught artist, so I'm free to violate any rule of art I want to. And I do it all the time. There's no critic I feel I have to satisfy, so I just satisfy myself. I see my collages as visual poetry, and so I build a narrative into them as I go. Usually, I start with a color theme and work from there to make a story, or a just a phrase. I always hear music in my head as I make each collage, and the way the song makes me feel seems to guide my hand. |
